I want to see you move from screen to verbal built in to the Win OS. With multi-cores and 10+ Gb, I should be able to buy a OS with speech built in. Computers are not for computing anymore, it is information and commutication. I should be able to wander around in my house talking to my computer when I want to and it should be answering back. Most of the house should be speaker on one option or screen as another option. When in interactive mode, if an e-mail comes in it could read part of it to me. The OS should have enough AI to know not to read spam senders to me. I should be able to have simple questions answered by the OS reading off of goggle "what is ----?"
It is time to move away from the screen and mouse only. Although a nice face on the corner of the screen would be nice. (I know alot of this is now through 3th party's, but you need three unrelated programs working to with each other. It's time for you to pput a built in system in the top of line
Windows 8.

            Good Luck'

I'm sorry but i have to agree Mac's are not worth the money. I would rather spend
400 dollars and build me a great computer with windows 7. In the Mac world that would be the cost of just the RAM.

@Lars1 XP was good for its time, but it's simply time to move on, as many new software and devices now support advanced features of Windows 7 (and Vista), such as hardware acceleration. I will not be surprised if applications and hardware soon stop supporting XP. (Obviously, Microsoft's won software, like IE9, and Live Essentials 2011, is already dropping XP support.

If you have 8GB of RAM, as you said, know that XP can only support up to 3GB of ram; hence, your extra 5GB of ram is not being used at all. To make full use of your 8GB ram, you will need Windows 7 64-bit edition, and with a quad-core CPU and 8GB of RAM (fully used), your computer will be blazing fast and ready for the next generation of computing. Mark my words: XP won't las more than another two years.

What is really so great about windows 7 ?
other then a bunch of gizmos which are neat, but are locked into the OS and cant be removed by someone who doesnt care for them.
And funny you say xp is for slower and 7 is for faster, since I run xp on a quad core sys with 8 gigs of ram,and yet still dont like 90% of the progress features that come with 7.WOW I can snap, how often do you snap?

Yeah I Have XP, But I Put All This Crap On It To Make It Look Like Windows 7. So At This Point I Would Take A Windows 2000 If I Could Get It For Free.
