Maybe its time to boycott Windows 7 and wait for the really good 1, Windows 10…

    • Nazmus says:

If you really want Windows OS X, good luck waiting that long…unless, of course, you own an Apple Computer. Anyways, Windows 7 is good, but there’s no telling if the next releases will ending up being another Vista/ME!!!

      • Abhishek says:

Apple says those are computers, but they are good looking toys. They know only all white things.Windows is colorful as our life. Vista was not a flop technically-just peoples machine had not enough RAM,thats it.Vista Ulti had Dreamscene -do you think it was not futuristic?

        • Ruff says:

What? Toys? Excuse me sir, but those “toys” are the closest to “flawless” nowadays…
          No viruses, spyware, exc.
Microsoft has improved its software, but Apple was always better. So Apple’s “toys” compared to MS’s “PCs” are better. Good job MS anyway; keep up the good work ^^.

          • haha says:

you know why OS X doesn’t have virus? because virus-makers don’t want to waste time to make viruses for it!

          • Orenero says:

Yes i agree as i have got a MacBook Pro
and a windows XP system i honestly think microsoft will probably bring out a software that nearly everybody could not
imagine but apple will probably bring out something like MacMaster which could monitor your children (i am only saying that because you are adults) as i am only 10

            Orenero

          • Handover says:

What a CROCK! No virus issues in OSX??? Explain why there are anti virus programs available for Mac? Why it is I can go onto google and find many sources to show you are wrong about Mac and Viruses.

Why are there spyware programs for mac?

And I consider anything I cannot upgrade hardware wise a toy.

          • Ben says:

Um Sorry But Apple Is Just A Piece Trash. Windows 7 Beats The I-Mac By A Longshot. And Windows “8″ Is Just Going To Open U

          • Ben says:

an unthinkable amount of pain for mac

          • Chad says:

HAHAHAHHA!!! DO you guys know who owns Apple. The owner of apple yous to be the co owner of microsoft. You guys are dorks to. Apples do have viruses. It’s just hackers are to cheap to buy an expensieve mac to write them. Didn’t you guys see that apples website was hacked not to long ago. You guys need to brush up on your news faqs.

            Always a PC LOVER!!!!!!!:)

  2. mr windows says:

I wouldn’t boycott windows 7, maybe Windows ME

  3. Tom says:

    Why change XP works great.

    • Nazmus says:

Why change XP? Because it’s outdated for the latest technology. Think about it, Windows Live Movie Maker is not supported by XP because it lacks the power. Okay, still not convinced? Remember Windows 98? It was great, I mean it was popular even in 2004! But technology moves on, and so should Windows

      • Mike Literous says:

ya fuck you, XP is great… and for those that dont want all of the latest technology like vista had,
(and still sucked shit), its awesome. The less “techlology”,(a large portion of which is completely useless and never used by the average person), that XP has is the less chance that it has to go wrong, or in other words the less problems that could go wrong with the computer. SO, you tell me… why change it? Just leave it out there so that poeple have the option to buy it if they want it…… so. BITE ME HOMES

        • Abhishek says:

Yah I support you.Win XP “was” great.Vista too,to me was great.Am using Win 7 Ultimate 64bit Signature Edition now -great.But we are using Win 7 for 10 months now! So,I want greater Windows 8 ,NOWWWWW!!!

        • Handover says:

          Heh.

I’ll wait in baited breath as eventually XP will no longer be supported and you will have a dead PC eventually because no new hardware will have XP drivers.

Must suck to be you that you found so many issues. I laugh at people like you who “think” they know what they are doing, but obviously do not simply by the way you responded here.

        • Ben says:

Yeah I Have XP, But I Put All This Crap On It To Make It Look Like Windows 7. So At This Point I Would Take A Windows 2000 If I Could Get It For Free.

          • Abraham says:

There is so many security holes in XP it remindes me of swiss cheese :P

OH NO ITS THE DREDED UAC!!!!!

            Its for your own protection.

    That video was awesome.

  10. vista and 7 hate it says:

why dont they do something totally different 7 looks like a vista service pack. Least with each windows have a totally different GUI , not so similiar, like 98 and XP

    • Nazmus says:

So, did you ever hear the saying “don’t fix somethin when it ain’t broken?” It is SOMETIMES very true. Windows 7 fixed flaws of Vista, like resource hog issue, and kept things that worked well, like support of the latest technology. And about the looks? Windows 95 through Windows 2000…no change. And besides, the Aero glass looks great anyways, we have not gotten board of it yet. Also, arn’t you glad that the team focused on making the OS faster and smoother and giving it a richer user experience than working to rebuild its looks, for which there WEREN’T many complaints.

      Cheers!

    • Ben(msdn) says:

windows 7 may look quite a bit like vista but i assure you they are very dissimilar. for one when we released vista we were in quite a rush and the release candidate we were working on ended up , to our dissatisfaction, as our retail build.
with windows 7, we had the chance to fix all the issues we had with vista and build a much, much, much much better operating system. the difference is obvious once you have tried it, 7 is much faster even faster than xp on the same hardware. and if you want an even greater performance gain, look no further than windows embedded standard 2011, where you can have an install as small as one gigabyte, or even a custom install much smaller should you choose to create your own template.
versions of windows embedded 2011, are available through microsoft connect free of charge, the hardest part is creating the live usb and even that is easy if you have a machine that runs vista or win7.
my personal gaming machine runs windows embedded 2011 and it runs really fast and really well. I set it up with a minimal install so i can simply run any programs from the task manager, no need for explorer or and other shells for that matter. oh yes, btw, another nice thing about windows embedded is its custom shell support, and the ability to install without any shell. the evaluation for win7 embedded last 180 days. definately worth checkin it out if you have a pc you can format….
      hope this was helpful

      • Abhishek says:

Hey Ben ! why talk with these people? those who think Win 7 is just a Vista upgrade??? Why you are typing and wasting your energy? these people will not understand.Let them use pirated copy of Win 98…(ha ha ha) or will I donate my original Win 98 CD to them? Some bogus people have developed Windows 8 skin for Win 98 ,Win XP already…let them use it Ben.

  11. liam says:

its not the os its the proseser

  12. Windows rapes Mac SFO says:

Windows 7 and XP are the best
    mac sucks hairy man balls
    its incompatible with all programs
    and its cum annoying GUI

Windows xp is for slow computers
windows 7 is for faster and for people who want to progress

    • Abhishek says:

And Windows 8 will be fastest…

    • Ruff says:

      Imbecile remarks up there…
The verb “to rape” isn’t used by a normal human kind, only if he’s from the Police or something. Second of all, your words here are just… are those normal words anyway?
And why bothr to insult the Macs? Do you really believe that in this manner you’ll make the Mac lovers to come to the MS side? never!
So measure your mouth (typing) and watch what you’re spitting…
And Mac’s not incompatible. If someone’s a Windows maniac, she/he can install the OS on BootCamp or on a virtual machine.

    • Lars1 says:

What is really so great about windows 7 ?
other then a bunch of gizmos which are neat, but are locked into the OS and cant be removed by someone who doesnt care for them.
And funny you say xp is for slower and 7 is for faster, since I run xp on a quad core sys with 8 gigs of ram,and yet still dont like 90% of the progress features that come with 7.WOW I can snap, how often do you snap?

      • Nazmus says:

@Lars1 XP was good for its time, but it’s simply time to move on, as many new software and devices now support advanced features of Windows 7 (and Vista), such as hardware acceleration. I will not be surprised if applications and hardware soon stop supporting XP. (Obviously, Microsoft’s won software, like IE9, and Live Essentials 2011, is already dropping XP support.

If you have 8GB of RAM, as you said, know that XP can only support up to 3GB of ram; hence, your extra 5GB of ram is not being used at all. To make full use of your 8GB ram, you will need Windows 7 64-bit edition, and with a quad-core CPU and 8GB of RAM (fully used), your computer will be blazing fast and ready for the next generation of computing. Mark my words: XP won’t las more than another two years.

  13. kooksnz says:

Microsoft say that the new Windows 7 os is the best thing to be released. So why is it that someone has Bluescreened it already.
When a report was sent to Microsoft regarding the problem they couldnt even be bothered to send a reply.
Get it together Microsoft and listen to your customers

    • Ben(msdn) says:

every single version of windows ever released, has had instances of bluescreens.
we call the BSODs because they are so common.this stands for blue screen of death.
on some hardware configurations you will never see BSOD, on other they can be inevitable.
blue screen of death, refers to hardware issues much more than software issues. the main cause is shotty memory. But quite often it can be something so simple as a webcam malfunctioning.

if you have requested help from a report with microsoft it will likely take some time. the more info you provide the more likely they will be to help you. you can try collecting any additional data on your computer by running the microsoft mcdiag tool which is available through microsoft. this tool collects additional data that microsoft uses to check up on customers issues.

and also, remeber that microsoft is a really big company, if you are dissatisfied, my best advice is call them up and express your dissatisfaction, it will likely be worth your while as they will do everything in their power to make you a happy customer once again, and this involves incentives, so call em up when your mad youll for sure hang up with a smile on your face :)
      i hope this was helpfull…..

and remeber, if microsoft pisses you off, tell em your switching to linux, they really dont like that,,,at all

so how can one person put internet 8 on their system if they have internet 7 with vista system

    • Nazmus says:

To get internet explorer 8 for your Windows Vista Machine, type “Internet Explorer 8″ on Google and go to the internet explorer 8 download page. Download Internet explorer 8 and run the software. Follow the instructions on the screen and “voalla!” hope that works!

  36. Sohaib says:

Cant Wait For Windows 8 Because After The release Of windows 8 my dad will buy me a laptop also

  37. Bob Klim says:

I want to see you move from screen to verbal built in to the Win OS. With multi-cores and 10+ Gb, I should be able to buy a OS with speech built in. Computers are not for computing anymore, it is information and commutication. I should be able to wander around in my house talking to my computer when I want to and it should be answering back. Most of the house should be speaker on one option or screen as another option. When in interactive mode, if an e-mail comes in it could read part of it to me. The OS should have enough AI to know not to read spam senders to me. I should be able to have simple questions answered by the OS reading off of goggle “what is —-?”
It is time to move away from the screen and mouse only. Although a nice face on the corner of the screen would be nice. (I know alot of this is now through 3th party’s, but you need three unrelated programs working to with each other. It’s time for you to pput a built in system in the top of line
    Windows 8.

    Good Luck’
    Bob
